Theatre in the Square Devised Production

In January 2022, director Rosie Fiore put out a call for people to devise a play, starting with a completely blank page. All she gave them was the vaguest idea that the play might be set on the London Underground.

Over the next eight weeks, they undertook character development exercises and workshops with professionals: They debated, mind-mapped, improvised, filmed and transcribed, discussed, storyboarded, wrote together, wrote alone, argued, made up and edited.

In March, they sat around a table and read the completed script for the first time. The play was performed at the NW7Hub Studio Theater in Mill Hill in April 2022.
